This will mean that the Playtest Zone booking process will also be postponed and will reopen on Sunday 31st May.

What does this mean?

1. If you have already registered your prototype for the Playtest Zone, this will still be valid. If you choose to change the main game that you will be playtesting just drop me a line to let me know.
2. All booking for the 3 hour sessions for the old May dates will be scrapped and bookings will open again on Sunday 31st May.
3. If you have made a donation to the Express CIC charity in order to book your 3 hour session, this will still be valid for the later bookings (ie you will not need to donate again unless you want to.)
4. If you have made a donation and now cannot make the new UK Games Expo dates, I'm afraid that we cannot refund donation to the charity. Please rest assured that your money will be helping autistic individuals and their families.
5. To keep up to date with development please RSVP for the UK Games Expo meetup page: http://bit.ly/2R5oSa9 or check the www.playtest.co.uk website

Registration for the Playtest Zone at the UK Games Expo 2020 is still open.

This event is for designers, who would like members of the gaming public to sit down and playtest their prototype, so that they can make improvements. It runs during the day from Friday 21st-Sunday 23rd August 2020.

Playtest UK volunteers will be available on the day to support you and feedback forms will be available. All playtesters will be entered into a prize draw to win games.

Here is the procedure for this year:

1. (From now) If you would like to bring a game prototype to the Playtest Zone at the UK Games Expo 2020, you must register yourself and your prototype here: http://bit.ly/2TcXz09
(Registration will close one week before Expo on Friday 14th August.)

2. (From 31st May) Designers who register for a 3 hour session will be contacted to give a donation to charity and then reserve one session on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

3. (From 14th June) Designers who register for a 90 mins session will be contacted and given a link to reserve one session on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

These sessions will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. All designers will only be able to reserve one session, to give everyone a fair chance. Additional sessions can always be booked in person at the Playtest Zone @ UK Games Expo.

In the last few years we have been booked out before the event, so please register as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment.

4. Volunteers: The Playtest Zone wouldn't be possible without our red-shirted volunteers. Anyone who volunteers to help out for a morning or afternoon session at the Playtest Zone will get an opportunity of priority booking, a red Playtest UK t-shirt to keep and a free day ticket for the UK Games Expo 2020.
Please register to volunteer here: http://bit.ly/2t6uLMm

5. Meetup: There is also a meetup for this event where you can RSVP and discuss the event with fellow designers. New information about the event will be posted here. (It is free to join.) Link: http://bit.ly/2R5oSa9

Please note that after 31st May (3h sessions)/14th June (90mins sessions), designers should be contacted within one week of registering with details of how to reserve their space.

If you have any questions please check the UKGE 2020 FAQ tab or feel free to contact Rob Harris via the usual contact form.

Please note we will not be drectly running the Speed-Dating or Networking events at this year's UKGE. Please find out more at the UK Games Expo website
